A silvered statue of the Medicine Buddha with right hand outstretched holding a stem of the myrobalan plant.
His right hand reaches out and in his hand is a branch of the myrobalan plant, a medicinal plant well known in India for its healing properties. In paintings he is often blue and is also known also the Buddha of Lapiz Lazuli radiance.
The Medicine Buddha takes twelve vows to save all sentient beings.
